How often should you wash the house or driveway?

There is no single calendar that fits every property, but most homes do well with a simple rhythm.

• Siding and roofs: about once a year. In humid or shaded areas that grow algae and mold faster, more often is common.
• Driveways, walkways, and patios: every 1–2 years, depending on traffic, trees, oil, and staining.

Waiting until everything looks black or greasy usually means a harder clean and a higher bill. A yearly look at the siding and roof, plus a driveway wash when it starts holding stains, keeps the property closer to the “just cleaned” look without overdoing it.
